Saraki received pension not salary after leaving office as Governor – Kwara replies EFCC
The Kwara State Government has dismissed claim that the Senate President, Bukola Saraki received salary four years after leaving office as the governor of the state.
The denial was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Isiaka Gold.
The state government said it had only been paying Saraki pension and not salary.
An Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, investigator had on Wednesday informed the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, that the Senate President kept collecting salaries from the state government four years after leaving office.

There appears to be no end in sight to the lingering crisis in Kogi State House of Assembly despite the decision of the National Assembly to wade in to the matter. The House of Representatives last Wednesday announced the takeover of Kogi State House of Assembly following the crisis that rocked the assembly since the impeachment of the former Spaeker, Momoh Jimoh Lawal.
BREAKING: INEC shifts FCT Area Council polls

The Independent National Electoral Commission has postponed the Area Councils Elections in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, earlier scheduled for Saturday, March 19 to April 9 this year.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in charge of the FCT, Prof. Jacob Jatau, announced this today during an emergency meeting of stakeholders on the election.
