Saraki received pension not salary after leaving office as Governor – Kwara replies EFCC

The Kwara State Government has dismissed claim that the Senate President, Bukola Saraki received salary four years after leaving office as the governor of the state.
The denial was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Isiaka Gold.
The state government said it had only been paying Saraki pension and not salary.
An Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, investigator had on Wednesday informed the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, that the Senate President kept collecting salaries from the state government four years after leaving office.
