Kano: Muslims allegedly behead woman who ‘blasphemed’ against Prophet Mohammed
Pandemonium struck in Wambai area of Kano State on Thursday after angry Muslims youths allegedly beheaded a female trader over allegations that she blasphemed Prophet Mohammed.
DAILY POST recalls that this is coming barely a week after an outbreak of religious violence and the purported killing of a Christian over alleged blasphemous comments about Prophet Mohammed in Niger State.
The Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the Kano Police Command, DSP Musa Magaji, who confirmed the incident reportedly said the victim, who was said to be of Igbo extraction, was accused of blasphemy during a religious argument at Wambai market.

Army confirms 22 killed in Borno suicide attacks
The Nigerian Army has confirmed the killing of 22 persons in an improvised explosive attack carried out by two female carriers in Ummarari village near Molai, outskirts of Maiduguri metropolis, Borno State on Wednesday morning.
It explained that the first attack targeted a mosque, while the second blast occurred a few minutes later at about 50 metres away, adding that 18 others sustained various degrees of injuries from the incidents........READ MORE>>
RESCUERS: FEMALE SUICIDE BOMBERS KILL 22 AT NIGERIAN MOSQUE
MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (AP) -- Two female suicide bombers killed at least 22 worshippers in an attack during dawn prayers Wednesday on a mosque on the outskirts of the northeast Nigerian city of Maiduguri, rescue officials said from the birthplace of Boko Haram.
One bomber blew up inside the mosque and the second waited outside to detionate as survivors tried to escape, said coordinator Abba Aji of the civilian self-defense Vigilante Group.
At least 17 people were wounded and evacuated to the hospital, said Abdul Mohammed of the State Emergency Management Agency.... READ MORE>>
Soldiers Kill Cattle Rustlers, recover livestock (Photo)
Troops of Operation Sharan Daji engaged in anti-cattle rustling, armed banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities in various states of the North-western part of the country, have recorded yet major successes against rustlers, killing several of them, destroyed their camps and recovered many livestock, arms and ammunitions.
In Zamfara State, the troops killed 4 rustlers, wounded 16, arrested 3 and destroyed 7 of their camps. The troops also recovered 486 livestock, 2 machetes, 3 AK-47 rifles and 4 AK-47 rifle magazines from the criminals.
In Katsina State, the troops killed 5 rustlers, arrested 2 of them and destroyed 5 camps. They also recovered an AK-47 rifle, 4 locally manufactured guns and 12 machetes . The troops also recovered 116 livestock from the rustlers. Unfortunately, one of the soldiers sustained injury and is receiving to treatment.
Nigeria: Army and NSCDC Seize 60,000 Litre Fuel Tanker, 225 Jerricans Containing Fuel

The Borno State commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence corps(NSCDC) , Ibrahim Abdullahi on Thursday in Maiduguri said it has intercepted a fuel tanker containing 60,000 litres of Petroleum motor spirit (PMS) otherwise known as fuel through the help of the Nigerian Army.
