Topic: His Matchless Compassion [July 1, 2016]
Text: Luke 7:11-18
Key Verse: "And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not" (Luke 7:13).
Message:
Jesus, at every point, has always had compassion. He went into a city called Nain and saw a funeral procession. A man, the only son of his mother, who was a widow, had died and this threw the city into a sorrowful mood. His mother was weeping uncontrollably and a large crowd from the city was with her. The loss of her only son meant she had nothing in her future except a life of childlessness and loneliness and misery. When Jesus heard her story, He had compassion on her.
