Key Verse: "Hear ye now what the LORD saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice" (Micah 6:1).
Hard rocky mountains and cliffs are two of the common physical features of Palestine. Sound experts tell us that these objects are among some of the most effective natural producers of sound echoes. If tested at a quiet moment, a whisper within appropriate distance of a flat, the hard wall of a cliff may be heard nearly 40 metres away.
